Sometimes when we become successful we also begin to doubt our own accomplishments. This is often referred to “imposter syndrome”. An unsubstantiated belief that we’re not worthy of our achievements and/or don’t stack up equally to our peers or family. I felt this every day until I left my family business. It was self-perpetuated and wasn’t resolved until I had enough money in the bank to silence my inner critic. I guess I needed to prove myself to myself. – Dad
No matter how many times you ask someone to perform a task, its inevitable they’re going to forget or screw it up. They may not understand the importance of the job, lack the competence or simply might not care as much as you do. In any case, if it’s really important, install a failsafe check list, do it yourself or accept that from time to time things are just gonna fall through the cracks. – Dad
