I threw 78 in high school. I hit 92 during my freshman year in college, and today I can throw 98. If I can name one thing that contributed most to my increase in velocity, it would be long toss. – Billy Wagner

KEEP THE FEET MOVING: It’s less about WHAT you’re doing and more about WHEN you’re doing it. You’re going to hear people call it many different things. Prep-step, Pre-Pitch, Hop Step etc, your goal should be as soon as you land, you move. There’s no point of moving before the ball is hit, just to stop and have to recreate momentum.
