Trump is much less of a leader than he is a winner. He won the presidency by dividing America. By taking advantage of existing divisions and praying on them. Trump refers to his political opponents as “losers” and is much more focused on this than his fellow citizens. The need for change is immediate and immense. The United States cannot be a country of winners and losers. The United States has to be a team with leaders that we respect. – Ian Bremmer
“Starting with why” can be confusing for leaders. What is supposed to be a “purpose” question, ends up being a laundry list of “brand promises” i.e. why do people buy from us, because we deliver fast, quality service, etc. The much better question is a “what” question i.e. what difference are you trying to make? What problem are you trying to solve in the world? What do you want to do with your life? What is your purpose? You’ll notice whenever someone describes their purpose it’s with a lot of “what” statements as well. – Verne Harnish
