Have a big decision to make? Sleep on it. Angry with someone? Write it down and set it aside. Most decisions are made in haste and our emotions get the better of us. When we put off the desire to react immediately we take our feelings out of the equation which can provide clarity to a more sensible solution.

There’s no ‘should’ or ‘should not’ when it comes to having feelings. They’re part of who we are and their origins are beyond our control. When we can believe that, we may find it easier to make constructive choices about what to do with those feelings.
