Fear is a byproduct of lack of repetition. The more times you try something the easier it becomes. The more skills you develop and the more trust you earn in the process. The first skydive is hard, but by the 10th jump you know what to expect and can enjoy the ride (that is if you enjoy skydiving). So goes anything that is hard. So goes life. – Dad

The Japanese say you have three faces. The first face, you show to the world. The second face, you show to your close friends, and your family. The third face, you never show anyone. It is the truest reflection of who you are. – Japanese Proverb

Time
Inspiration

3/11/23

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. – Steve Jobs

Beat
Inspiration

3/10/23

Sometimes you just get beat. Sometimes the other guys are just better. It’s not personal. Don’t dwell on the loss. Nothing you can do other than dust yourself off and come back tomorrow. – Dad

Inspiration

People have an inherent bias towards negativity. It’s often why when things are going well we still feel as if they could be better. The next time you’re feeling down pause and take a moment to reflect on what you have to be grateful. Maybe it’s your health. Maybe a job or a roof over your head. Could be the love of a pet or just a cup of coffee. Soon enough you’ll realize the world is not conspiring against you. If fact, the truth is probably just the opposite. – Dad

Musician
Inspiration

“There were some people who didn’t like my being deeply involved with Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan and disreputable rock ‘n’ rollers. I didn’t care about that because I was doing what I really believed and the response from the followers of those musicians was much more influential than a few people who thought that being associated with rock ‘n’ roll and radical people was inappropriate in a president.” ~ Jimmy Carter
