Chronos is the forward propelling time that we measure with clocks and calendars, but time does not end there. The Greeks’ second word for time is “kairos”.  “Kairos” is what many philosophers would refer to as “deep time”.  When you find yourself in Kairos time, you completely lose track of Chronos time. A state of flow is activated, and it cannot be measured but only experienced.

Before posting to social media ask yourself if what you’re saying is true, kind, necessary, helpful, and authentic. When you’re about to post ask yourself “is this me?” Is this an accurate reflection of my life and a sincere expression of how you’re feeling right now?

I don’t believe in willpower. If you ask someone if they want to lose weight and they don’t take action it’s not because they don’t want to be fit. It’s because the pain of not achieving the goal didn’t outweigh the pleasure of the status quo. When you’re ready for change you’ll do it. When you’re not you won’t.

We can be more focused on getting things right than doing them well. When we skip over the process and race past the period of not knowing we short change our learning. Then when the next challenge comes up we have the same struggle because we never sat with the problem.
