As I look back upon my childhood many of the more painful moments came from a place of jealousy. Either I was jealous of someone or they were of me. Now I don’t know how to prevent external jealousy, but internal jealousy can be avoided through mediation and self-acceptance. Acceptance of things we can control and letting go of things we cannot. – Dad

Today was one of those days where I missed my Dad. Not the Fox News watching, Trump loving, conspiracy theory nutjob who passed away last May, but the guy who used to take me to Pistons games, play golf and make people laugh. That version of my Father passed away in spirt long before his body. Wishing for something that doesn’t exist is unproductive, but remembering the good times in spite of the bad manages to keep it all in perspective. – Dad
